It was a very close call for one Valley driver on Thursday morning.
A picture showed metal pipes that went through the windshield of a vehicle near Interstate 17 and Bethany Home Road.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the driver of the vehicle has non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Ok. Whew!
Thank heaven for the good result here. From the picture, it looks like a rear end collision.
Question: Had the driver of the car been hurt, would the truck carrying the long pipes have fault?
Answer: if the truck violated any code, statute or rule in having the pipes extending back so far, then yes.
If not, then likely no. Very glad that this did not result in a serious injury to anyone.
