Driving down the road, car in front slowing…you have no idea what they are doing….then, they make their turn.
When did not using turn signals become the norm? Notwithstanding it is the law in Arizona, the courtesies of signaling your intentions to other drivers is the proper way to drive safely on the streets and highways.
There's a good reason why using your turn signals are enforced by law. Why? Because they prevent accidents. Really.
It's obvious. When someone uses their turn signal, they're indicating which way they plan on navigating their vehicle. That gives other drivers in the area to opportunity to prepare for their intended action.
The chances of an accident occurring because someone decides not to use their turn signal substantially increases. Really, like all things, it comes down to COMMUNICATION.
The better we communicate, the less problems we face in life. Using turn signals is nothing more than a communication to other drivers on the road.

That number should be much, much lower, and come on---it is so simple. You were taught to use your turn signals when you were learning to drive, so what happened?

Be courteous. Obey the law. Communicate your intention. Use your turn signals. It's really that simple.
